Data You Give Us Directly
Search forms send the name, telephone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies the results. Wilmington People Search does not retain a separate copy of those searches on its servers. When you send a message, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them to answer your inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary technical logs, which may include an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and time stamps. Aggregated log data helps maintain the site and shows which Wilmington record resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic traffic analysis and advertising measurement where those services apply.
How Information Is Used
The limited information described above is used to run the site, diagnose errors, review overall traffic, and improve content. We do not sell a visitor list or assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to City of Wilmington resources, New Hanover County offices, North Carolina portals, library collections, or outside search services. Information entered after leaving this site is controlled by the destination’s policy. That distinction also applies to sponsored search results, which an independent provider delivers.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support providers process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising services may receive the automatic information described in this policy. Visitor information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute it.
Safeguarding Limited Data
Connections to the site are encrypted. Technical logs are kept only as long as necessary for the stated operational purposes. Because visitors do not create accounts, Wilmington People Search holds no site password or user profile for someone to access.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have sent personal data so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Rights to access, correct, or delete personal data may depend on where you live. No comprehensive North Carolina consumer deletion or universal opt-out privacy statute was identified as of the research date, July 28, 2026. We can still search our contact mailbox and available server logs for information tied to a request. Use the Contact page to submit one.
Government records are separate. Wilmington, New Hanover County, and North Carolina custodians control their own files under laws including the North Carolina Public Records Law, Chapter 132, plus record-specific confidentiality rules. A correction, redaction, or withholding request for an official file must go to the agency that holds it.
Updates to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear here. By continuing to use Wilmington People Search after an update is posted, you accept the revised terms.
